A Moldovan freight plane made an emergency landing in a mountainous area in the southern Turkish city of Antalya on Sunday morning, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
Subgovernor of Antalya Gunhan Sarikaya told Anatolia that crew of the plane called their executives on Sunday morning, saying their plane made an emergency landing at a place they did not know.
All the crew members were safe and sound, said the official.
Turkish authorities immediately sent out security teams to search the region near Ugurlu village of Alanya town to find the plane and crew members, Sarikaya added.
It was the second emergency landing in Turkey over the weekend.
On Saturday, a Turkish Airlines (THY) jetliner made an emergency landing in the eastern Turkish city of Malatya due to bad weather conditions, Anatolia reported on Sunday.
The jetliner was bound from Istanbul to the southeastern city of Diyarbakir with 166 passengers and seven crew members on board when it made the landing at the Erhac Airport.
Later, the plane took off again and landed at the Diyarbakir Airport safely, said Anatolia.
