Two policemen were killed and two others wounded when unknown gunmen ambushed a police patrol in western Baghdad on Sunday, an Interior Ministry source said.
"Unknown armed men opened fire at a police patrol in the Yarmouk neighborhood at about 2:30 p.m. (1030 GMT), killing two policemen and wounding two others," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
Earlier in the day, at least 32 were killed and another 86 wounded in three separate suicide car bomb attacks, two in a northern Baghdad neighborhood and a third in the holy Shiite City of Karbala, some 110 km south of Baghdad.
