Hong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang will lead a delegation of government officials and business leaders to the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on June 2 to promote economic and trade cooperation between Hong Kong and the Pan-Pearl River Delta (Pan-PRD) region.
According to a government press release, during Tsang's two-day visit to Guangxi, the delegation will attend the "Guangxi/Hong Kong Economic and Trade Cooperation Symposium" and visit local enterprises and infrastructure facilities.
Tsang will leave Guangxi for Kunming, capital of Yunnan Province, on June 4 to attend the "Third Pan-PRD Regional Cooperation and Development Forum" to be open on June 5.
According to the press release, the Chief Executive will lead a number of business delegations to Pan-PRD provinces including Hunan, Guizhou and Jiangxi in the rest of the year.
During Tsang's absence, Hong Kong Chief Secretary for Administration Rafael Hui will serve as the acting chief executive.
