CPPCC vice-chairwoman meets German guest

Liu Yandong, vice chairwoman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met here Wednesday with Roland Koch, minister-president of Germany's Hessen state.

The relations between China and Germany have enjoyed sound development in recent years, with increasing political mutual trust and widening mutually beneficial cooperation, said Liu.

Germany is China's largest trading partner in Europe while China is Germany's largest partner in Asia, said Liu, adding that the development of bilateral relations complies with the interestsof the two peoples, She added.

China will continue to work with Germany to push forward bilateral relations, Liu said.

She also briefed Koch on the recent development in the Tibet Autonomous Region.
