The standing committee of the municipal people's congress of Nanjing City, the capital of Jiangsu Province, and a delegation of the parliament of Nantou County of China's Taiwan Province reached an agreement on exchanges and cooperation on Thursday.

In meeting with the Nantou delegation, Fang Zhizhuo, vice chairman of the standing committee of Jiangsu's provincial people's congress, said both sides represent and serve the interests of local people and they can learn from each other.

During their stay in Jiangsu, the Taiwanese visitors will tour Nanjing, Suzhou, Changzhou and Kunshan.

Recently, a similar agreement was also signed between the parliaments of Wuxi City, Jiangsu, and Taitung, Taiwan.
