Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing and Irish Foreign Minister Dermot Ahern agreed on deepening bilateral cooperation on Friday.
"Li and Ahern exchanged views on China-Ireland relations and regional and international issues of common concern," according to a statement from China's Foreign Ministry.
After an hour-long talks, they agreed to make joint efforts to enhance friendly and mutually-beneficial cooperation, the statement said.
Ahern reaffirmed Ireland would adhere to the one-China policy.
