font size

A U.S. soldier was killed when a roadside bomb struck his vehicle in south Baghdad early on Saturday, the U.S. military said.

A soldier from the Multinational Division-Baghdad was killed when his vehicle in a military convoy hit an improvised explosive device at about 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, the military said in a statement.

The latest fatalities brought to at least 2,431 the number of U. S. soldiers killed in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003.
