Nine persons including a child were wounded as two explosions shocked Afghanistan's northern Baghlan province Sunday morning, local police said.
"A bomb exploded at 9:45 a.m. this morning in Dosaraka area of Baghlan city when the people crowded to know the situation the second bomb went off injuring nine persons including a small girl and two policemen," Mohammad Qasim Aminzai, a senior police official, told journalists after the incident.
He put the attack on the enemy of Afghanistan a term used against Taliban militants.
It is the first time that such fatal incident has taken place in Baghlan province, which enjoys peaceful environment.
No group or individual has claimed responsibility so far and the authorities have yet to make any arrest in this regard.
Around 200 Dutch soldiers have been stationed under NATO flag in Baghlan's provincial capital Pul-e-Khumri to help local authorities stabilize security there.
At least twice roadside bombs went off in Baghlan province but caused little damages over past one year.
