Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), has called on all scientists and non-communist figures to learn from Wang Xuan, a late ace computer expert and vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee.

Jia, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, made the call Wednesday at a workshop on Wang's contribution to the nation in the fields of politics and science.

Wang is the fine example for intellectuals in China to follow and a source of pride for the people engaged in the cause of the United Front, Jia acknowledged.

Jia met with Chen Kun, the widow of Wang, and conveyed the sincere regards from Chinese President and CPC General Secretary Hu Jintao.

Liu Yandong, vice chairperson of the CPPCC National Committee and director of the United Front Department of the CPC Central Committee, and other personalities including Ding Shisun, Jiang Zhenghua, Han Qide, Luo Haocai, Huang Mengfu, Li Meng, and Zhang Rongming were among those present at the meeting.
