Four U.S. soldiers and their Iraqi interpreter were killed on Thursday when their military convoy struck a roadside bomb northwest of Baghdad, the U.S. military said.
Earlier, a U.S. military statement said that a U.S. sailor was killed on Wednesday in the volatile Anbar province in western Iraq as a result of "enemy action."
The latest deaths brought to at least 2,450 the number of U.S. military personnel killed in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003, according media tally.
