A car bomb exploded in the east of Afghanistan capital Kabul on Sunday, leaving three dead including the driver of the vehicle, spokesman of the Interior Ministry said.
"Preliminary investigation says that today at 11:20 am a Corolla car exploded in the city killing three persons including the driver of the car and two locals," Yusuf Stanikzai told Xinhua.
Two shops were also destroyed by the explosion, he added.
The explosion occurred on Jalalabad road in the east of the capital city, where hundreds of U.S.-dominated foreign troops have bases and move on daily.
The spokesman said investigation is still underway.
