Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Sunday condemned the terror attack in Srinagar, capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir that claimed three lives, saying such " cowardly attacks" would not come in the way of finding a peaceful solution to the lingering problem in the state.
"The prime minister said that such cowardly attacks will not weaken the resolve of the people of Jammu and Kashmir to seek a peaceful resolution to the problem of Jammu and Kashmir," Indo- Asian News Service quoted an Indian official statement as saying.
"It is only through dialogue that a lasting solution can be found," Manmohan Singh maintained.
He also conveyed his deep sympathies to the families of those killed in the attack.
The prime minister is looking forward to visiting Srinagar and participating in the second roundtable meeting on Indian- controlled Kashmir scheduled for May 24-25, the statement said.
Apart from holding talks with the separatist Hurriyat Conference, the roundtable conference is Manmohan Singh's second major initiative to resolve the Kashmir issue.
