font size

Macao's composite consumer price index (CCPI) in April rose 0.87 percent over the previous month, standing at 107.55, according to official statistics issued Monday.

The government-run Statistics and Census Service (SCS) attributes the increase of CCPI to the price hikes occurred in sectors including cloth, fuel, outbound package tours and house renting rate.

Meanwhile, the SCS figures showed that the CCPI witnessed a year-on-year rise of 6.30 percent in April, a strong indicator that the incomes of Macao residents have been keeping rising.
