China is ready to further contribute to a comprehensive solution to Sudan's Darfur crisis, said State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan in Beijing Monday.
Tang made the remarks in his talks with visiting UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan on Monday afternoon.
"The Darfur peace agreement has laid an important foundation for an all-round solution to the Darfur issue," Tang said.
"Relevant parties of Sudan should sign this peace agreement," he said. Tang also called for the international community to help implement the agreement and in particular provide financial and logistic support for the African Union.
"The international community should actively fulfill its promise of giving humanitarian aid to the Darfur solution," he added.
The two sides also exchanged views on UN reform, the situation in the Middle East and other issues.
