A survey conducted by Peking University shows that the Chinese people are happier, but the degree of sense of happiness varies among rural and urban residents as well as groups of different age, education and profession. In the eyes of the Chinese, the survey indicates, psychological and physical health, harmonious family and stable marriage (or be in love) are the top three factors to happiness.

The 3rd Asian Women Form was held in Hong Kong on May 22. Nearly one hundred experts, scholars, government officials from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the ROK and Japan attended the forum to discuss topics as women's development, wisdom and happiness, career and family. The three-day event is jointly sponsored by the Women Studies Center of Peking University, Asian Women Development Association and Hong Kong Baptist University.
