Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Wu Dawei and his counterpart Yu Myung-hwan of the Republic of Korea held talks here on Tuesday, discussing the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue.

The two vice foreign ministers agreed to continue promoting the process of the six-party talks on the issue, according to sources with the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

The sources said the two sides called on all parties involved in the issue to take active measures to properly handle the existing problems and remove obstacles for early resumption and progress of the six-party talks.
