China to maintain steady crude output growth

The crude oil output has entered a phase of steady growth during the "Eleventh Five-Year" period, with the annual production expected to exceed 185 million tons, and such growth will be kept till 2020.

China so far has established an integrated crude oil industrial system and there are totally 576 oil fields, 11,300-km-long oil pipeline in four major oil and gas regions across the country. The crude output hit 182 million tons in 2005.

The newly proven crude reserves have reached 800 million tons to 900 million ton from 1984 till now. During the "Tenth Five-Year" period, the accumulatively proven crew reserves totaled 6.931 billion tons.

Additionally, China's oil reserves have maintained a steady growth so far. Along with the further development of exploration, there will be a large increase in oil reserves.
