Chinese, South Korean foreign ministers meet in Doha

China and the Republic of Korea (ROK) agreed on Tuesday to promote bilateral comprehensive and cooperative partnership.

The agreement was reached during a meeting between Chinese foreign minister Li Zhaoxing and his ROK counterpart Ban Ki-moon on the sidelines of the fifth ministerial conference of Asia Cooperation Dialogue which opened in the Qatari capital Doha earlier Tuesday.

The two sides exchanged views on bilateral ties and regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Both ministers vowed to continue actively implementing the consensus reached by their leaders and boost sino-ROK comprehensive and cooperative partnership.

Li also held separate talks with Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov, Mongolian foreign minister Nyamaa Enkhbold and Malaysian foreign minister Syed Hamid Albar.
