Nepal's government and guerrillas will begin their talks Friday afternoon, according to government sources.
The government and the guerrillas are holding talks at Gokarna Forest Resort at Gokorna of suburb Kathmandu city on Friday afternoon.
"The dialogue is taking place at 4:00 p.m. local time (1015 GMT) on Friday," local radios and televisions reported, quoting Pradip Gyawali, a member of the government talks team, as saying.
The government on Thursday formed a three-member talks committee headed by Home Minister Krishna Prasad Sitaula, comprising members Pradip Gyawali, minister for culture, tourism and civil aviation, and Ramesh Lekhak, minister of state for transport and labor management.
The guerrillas talks team comprising guerrillas' spokesman Krishna Bahadur Mahara, Dina Nath Sharma and Dev Gurung is already in the capital of Kathmandu for holding dialogue with the government.
The guerrillas announced that party chairman Prachanda will lead the summit talks.
The government has decided to release all political detainees to create a conducive environment for talks.
This is the third round of talks between the government and the guerrillas as the previous two rounds of talks held between the government and guerrillas failed.
