China's Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) and France have signed a protocol to further promote ties in sectors of civil aviation, trade and tourism, the MSAR government announced on Saturday.

A press release issued by the Information Bureau said Ao Man Long, Macao's secretary for Transportation and Public Works, and Dominique Perben, French minister for Transport, Capital Works, Tourism and Marine Affairs, signed the protocol in France on May 23 representing the two sides.

During their meeting, the two officials also discussed the latest developments in economic, infrastructure and the transportation network in Macao, said the release.

Perben vowed that the French government will continue to support French entrepreneurs to invest in Macao, according to the release.

Macao welcomes "competitive and well-managed enterprises" to invest in Macao, Ao was cited by the press release.
