China, Myanmar sign drug control cooperation agreementChina and Myanmar reached an agreement in Yangon Saturday on enhancing cooperation in drug control. Representing their respective governments, visiting Chinese Deputy Commissioner for National Drug Abuse Control Commission ( NDACC) and Deputy Minister of Public Security Zhang Xinfeng and Myanmar Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Brigadier-General Phone Swe signed the agreement. Besides, a Memorandum of Understanding between the NDACC of China and the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) of Myanmar on using satellite for remote sensing of poppy cultivation in northern part of Myanmar was also endorsed. On Saturday, Zhang called on First Secretary of the Myanmar State Peace and Development Council Lieutenant-General Thein Sein and Myanmar CCDAC Chairman and Minister of Home Affairs Major- General Maung Oo.
