Vietnam to import 600 mln kwh electricity from China

Vietnam plans to import 600 million kilowatts hours electricity from China this year to ease the country's electricity shortage, according to Xinhua.

A transmission-transformation line from China's Yunnan Province to Vietnam is under construction, which is to deliver electricity in October.

Another 220-kilovolt line from Yunnan to Vietnam is under negotiation.
