Nepali Deputy Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the guerrilla would do well to wait to " talk up their problem" rather than stepping up pressure on the government, The Himalayan Times reported on Sunday.
Oli was quoted by the newspaper as saying while addressing a function in the capital on Saturday that the guerrilla's leadership should not issue threats to "go back to the jungle when the government is ready to talk. There is absolutely no need to raise doubt over the motive of the state."
"Don't use language of issuing warnings," Oli told guerrilla leaders by way of reacting to almost daily reports of the guerrilla leaders telling the government something or the other as part of "intimidatory tactics."
Saying that it was always better to have patience when chasing an important agenda, Oli told the guerrillas to have patience while the government works out the mechanism to resolve the long- standing issues.
"If one expects to have everything for the asking, there would not be any need for talks in the world," He said.
This is the first time that Oli has talked about the guerrillas in such a tough terms.
