President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai will pay a state visit to China from June 18 to 21 at the invitation of Chinese President Hu Jintao.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao made the announcement at a routine news conference Thursday.
