65% of Hangzhou Bay Trans-sea bridge completed

Up to now, 65 percent of the world's largest trans-sea bridge, Hangzhou Bay Trans-sea Bridge has been completed. The construction of the piers has almost been finished and over half of the box girders have been built.

The bridge is 36 kilometers long and the investment totaled 11.8 billion yuan.

Linking Haiyan county of Jiaxing and Cixi,Ningbo city, Zhejiang Province, the world's largest trans-sea bridge will reduce the distance between Ningbo and Shanghai by 120 kilometers.
