Two vehicles collided Saturday on a road between Cairo and Faiyum, some 90 km south of the Egyptian capital, killing 16 Egyptians and seriously wounded four others, local police said.
The mishap occurred when a minibus collided head-on with a bus driving in the opposition direction on the road, said the police.
Road accidents are common in Egypt, which are often caused by overspeed and violation of traffic rules.
