One man was critically injured as a Qassam rocket fired from the Gaza Strip landed on Sunday at the Sapir Academic College in Negev, next to Sderot in southern Israel, local Ha'aretz daily said.
The man was evacuated to the Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon, where he received a surgery. Two other people were lightly wounded by the rocket and were treated on location.
Earlier on Sunday, Palestinian militants fired at least nine homemade rockets at Israel from the Gaza Strip. Over this weekend there were more than 30 rockets launched from Gaza, as a revenge to the killing of seven Palestinian civilians on Gaza beach on Friday by Israeli army's errant artillery shell.
The Sunday's attack prompted Sderot mayor Eli Moyal to decide that all the schools and kindergartens in the city are closed until further notice.
Hamas' armed wing took responsibility for the rocket attacks, saying that they would continue until residents of Sderot evacuated the city in fear.
Hamas had largely maintained a 16-month ceasefire with Israel until Saturday, when it began firing the rockets against Israel. The Hamas rockets are considered more accurate than those fired by other groups almost daily since Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip last September.
