Twenty-two additional international passenger and cargo road transport routes between China and Kazakhstan will be added by Sept. 1, bringing the highway routes between the two countries to 64.

Kazakhstan will become best-linked nation in Central Asia with China in terms of the number of highway transport services, according to Wang Shuiping, deputy head of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Regional Bureau of Communications.

According to Wang, highway passenger transport routes between China and Kazakhstan will total 33, while there will be 31 road cargo transport routes between the two countries.
