Taiwan's "Legislative Yuan" to consider ousting Chen Shui-bian
font size

Taiwan's "Legislative Yuan" decided on Monday to put the proposal of ousting Chen Shui-bian on the agenda of its special session scheduled from June 13 to 27.

The proposal was backed by Kuomintang (KMT) party and the People First Party, as corruption scandals surrounded the Taiwan leader and his Democratic Progressive Party, according to reports of Taiwan media.

The decision to place the recall proposal on the agenda was made after a vote at a meeting of the members of the "Legislative Yuan" Monday morning.
