Top sedans see sales drop in May

Statistics released by China Association of Automobile Manufactures shows that sales of the five of the ten top sedans in May surpassed 10,000. They are Jetta, Xiali, Excelle, Elantra, and Santana, whose sales are 17, 700, 15, 400, 14, 200, 13, 700, and 13, 400 units respectively.

Sales of the nine brands decreased from last month. Only Jetta achieved a slight growth.

The other five brands from six to ten are CVT, QQ, Accord, Prado and Corolla. Their sales are 87,000, 85,000, 84,000, 70,000 and 63,000 units respectively.

The total sales of the ten sedans are 113, 300 units, which make up 38. 33% the entire sales of the sedans in May.
