China adopts anti-dumping measures against imported wear resistant overlay
font size

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said on Friday that it will adopt temporary anti-dumping measures against a critical component used in the installation of laminate flooring which is produced in the United States and the European Union.

A MOC circular says that as of Friday domestic importers of wear resistant overlay will be required to submit cash deposits to the mainland customs authorities.

The MOC launched an anti-dumping investigation into the wear resistant overlay imported from the U.S. and EU on June 13 last year.

The preliminary ruling confirmed that the wear resistant overlay imported from the U.S. and EU was being dumped on the Chinese market.

The circular says that the imported products have had a substantially negative effect on the Chinese makers of wear resistant overlay.
