Lebanese President Emile Lahoud said Friday he would report Israel's attacks and murders in Lebanon to the United Nations Security Council.
The government reached an agreement late on Thursday to report the matter to the Security Council, Lahoud said in a meeting with provincial delegates.
The Lebanese army said in a statement on Tuesday that it had dismantled a network used by Israel's Mossad intelligence agency to carry out attacks in Lebanon, mainly against Hezbollah and pro-Syrian Palestinian groups.
It said that members of the network had admitted responsibility for the May 26 attack that killed Mahmoud Mjzoub, leader of the Islamic Jihad in Sidon, 40 km south of Beirut, and his brother Nidal.
Meanwhile, Lebanese Foreign Minister Fawzi Salloukh claimed on Friday that previous intrusions by Israeli military planes into Lebanese airspace might be connected with the network's activities.
