Two rockets land in southern Israel
font size

Two rockets fired by Palestinian militants landed in Israel's southern town of Sderot Sunday morning, causing no casualty, local media reported.

One rocket damaged several electricity poles in Sderot and disrupted electricity supply to a neighborhood in the town's suburb. The other rocket landed near the border fence.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces apprehended three unarmed infiltrators on Sunday morning after spotting them at the central section of the Israel-Egypt border. The three were detained by security forces for interrogation.

Recently, Sderot has suffered frequent rocket attacks launched by Palestinian militants from the Gaza Strip.

In response to such attacks, the Israeli army has stepped up

military operations against those who carried out rocket attacks on Israel.
