US expects DPRK to maintain freeze on missile tests
font size

The United States expects the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to maintain a freeze on missile tests, President George W. Bush's spokesman Tony Snow said Sunday.

"We do not want to have a missile test out of North Korea, " Snow told Fox News.

Snow made the statement over reports that the DPRK was preparing to test a long-range missile that could reach the United States.

DPRK decided in 1999 that it would place a moratorium on long- range missile testing.
