    The success of China's super telescopes for moon-probe project test

    The engineers in Kunming observe the work of the super telescope.According to the overall arrangement of moon-probe project, the first joint detection to a moon-orbiting satellite belonging to Europe Sapce Agency by four telescopes set up Beijing, Shanghai, the southwestern Yunnan Province, and the northwestern Xinjing Uygur Autonomous Region achieved success.The success of monitoring project that lasted five days proved that China was able to detect and track moon-orbiting satellites.

    Record of world's most expensive oil painting refreshed

    "Adele Bloch-Bauer I", painted in 1907 by the late Austrian painter Gustav Klimt, is recently sold for 135 million dollars, exceeding Picasso's "Boy with a Pipe", which was auctioned for 104 million dollars in 2004 to become the world's most expensive oil painting. The painting is purchased by Ronald .S .Loud, a cosmetics giant.

    Stations along the Qinghai-Tibet Railway

    The photo shows the Tanghla station on the Qinghai-Tibet Railway. Along the 1142km-long Lhasa- Golmud section of Qinghai-Tibet Railway, there are altogether 45 stations: Lhasa, Maxiang, Angga, Yangbajain, Tanghla, Tuotuo River, etc. Both the names and building structures of the stations are of strong Tibetan characteristics.     Ferry sinks after collision

    A ferry from Zhuhai, in South China's Guangdong Province, sinks after colliding with a ship from Hong Kong's First Ferry company, yesterday. About 140 passengers from both ships were rescued after the accident at 10 am. There were no casualties. The Hong Kong ship, which departed from Macao, only suffered slight damage.
