font size

Indonesia projected 6.3 percent economic growth next year, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani said in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The minister said that the government assumed the country's rupiah exchange rate against one U.S. dollar was at 9,400 rupiahs and inflation rate at 6.5 percent for 2007.

The state revenue would be 693 trillion rupiahs (some 70 billion U.S. dollars) and the government spending 726.3 trillion rupiahs (about 73 billion U.S. dollars ), said Mulyani.

The deficit of the state budget was about 33.3 trillion rupiahs (some 3.5 billion U.S. dollars), she added.

The deficit would be filled by the domestic revenues of 55.5 trillion rupiahs (some 5.6 billion U.S. dollars), she said.

Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has promised to reach the average of above six percent economic growth during his presidency since August 2004.
