General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and Lao President Choummaly Sayasone will pay a state visit to China from June 27 to July 2.

Choummaly will make the visit as guest of Hu Jintao, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chinese President.

The news was announced by Guo Yezhou, the spokesman of the CPC International Department, on Thursday.

Choummaly was elected the party chief in March and state president in June.
