German stocks ended mixed Friday on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

The benchmark DAX, the index of 30 big companies, lost 3.68, or 0.07 percent, to 5,529.74.

The index of medium-sized firms, MDAX, was up 14.51, or 0.19 percent, to 7,662.44.

The TecDAX, the index of technology companies, rose 0.78, or 0. 12 percent, to 634.48.
