font size

Colombia's Congress President Claudia Blum left Beijing Tuesday for China's business hub of Shanghai to continue her eight-day tour.

Blum, also Senate president, is here heading a delegation of Colombia's Radical Change Party, as guest of the International Department of the Communist Party of the China (CPC) Central Committee.

In the Chinese capital, Blum met with Wu Bangguo, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's parliament.

The two agreed that as bilateral ties have been proceeding rapidly over the past 26 years, the two countries should further deepen this relationship through parliamentary and inter-party exchanges.

On Monday, Plum met with Wang Jiarui, Head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Plum's China tour will also take her to Suzhou, a scenic spot and booming economic city in east China's Jiangsu Province.
