Senior officials from China and Uzbekistan on Tuesday vowed to enhance judicial cooperation in a bid to promote bilateral ties and facilitate economic and social progress.

Chinese State Councilor Zhou Yongkang and Uzbek Minister of Justice Buritosh Mustafaev agreed to enhance cooperation in law and judicial sectors during a meeting in Beijing.

Zhou also called for the two countries to further implement a Sino-Uzbek Treaty on Mutual Judicial Assistance in Civil and Criminal Affairs and a bilateral extradition treaty.
