China, Guinea Bissau sign agreement to reinforce agricultural cooperation

China and Guinea Bissau signed an agreement on Wednesday to beef up the two country's cooperation in agriculture, according to reports from Bissau, the African country's capital.

The agreement, signed in Bissau by China's Ambassador to Guinea Bissau Tian Guangfeng and the African nation's Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Sola N'Quilin Na Bitchita, committed China to help Guinea Bissau mainly in planting rice.

According to the agreement, China will sent 15 agricultural experts to Guinea Bissau to give training lessons in rice planting technologies, and the presentation and promotion of super rice seeds.

China will also provide Guinea Bissau with agricultural materials such as agricultural machines and spare parts, seeds, fertilizer and pesticides.
