A train coded "Qing 1" from Golmud, China's Qinghai Province, heading for Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, is to enter the Fenghuoshan Tunnel, the world's most elevated tunnel on frozen earth with an altitude of 4,905 meters, July 1, 2006.

The railway is ready for operation on July 1.
