China urges early resumption of Iran nuclear issue negotiations
font size

The Iran nuclear issue is at a critical point and the pressing matter of the moment is to resume the negotiations as early as possible, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Jiang Yu said in Beijing Tuesday.

Jiang told a regular press briefing that China hopes both Iran and other relevant parties can create favorable conditions for the resumption of negotiations.

"We hope Iran can take the concerns of the international community into consideration, and deliver an early response to the package proposal aimed at resolving the nuclear issue," she said.

Jiang also calls for other relevant parties to keep patient and restraint, seriously consider Iran's rational concerns and actively contact with the Irani side.

Any discussions on the nuclear issue should help the international community achieve consensus, and promote a proper solution of the issue through diplomatic negotiations, Jiang said.
