China has put the development of large aircraft into the "Eleventh Five-Year" plan.
Having worked in Germany and Japan for six years, Yang Guowei, a research fellow of Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences said that he had finally finished the general demonstration report on the research of large aircrafts.
For the program of developing large aircrafts, on one hand, China's aviation industry faces the challenge of producing aircraftsso as to meet the national requirement on aviation development. On the other hand, China must set up its own system of intellectual property rights and innovation capability. That is to say, China must master the technique of producing large aircrafts and form an aviation industry full of competitiveness in the international arena.
Yang noted that the "large aircraft program" is a long-term plan, which requires hard work of numerous aviation workers. By 2020, home-made large aircraft will definitely take off.
According to Boeing's prediction, China is a country that faces robust civil aviation growth. In the next 20 years to come, China needs to purchase some 2400 civil aircrafts, with the total price reaching 197 billion Yuan.
