CPC to strengthen relations with Moroccan partiesThe Communist Party of China (CPC) will strengthen exchanges and cooperation with all major political parties of Morocco for the long-term and steady growth of bilateral ties, said a senior CPC official in Beijing Tuesday. Wu Guanzheng, a member of the Political Bureau Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee, was speaking at a meeting with Ismail Alaoui, secretary-general of the Party of Progress and Socialism of Morocco. Wu said Sino-Moroccan relations dated back to ancient times and had progressed well since the establishment of diplomatic ties 48 years ago. He pointed to the increasing mutual political trust, economic and trade links and close cooperation on major international and regional issues. The meeting between the two heads of state in April significantly promoted bilateral cooperation, said Wu. Wu voiced his appreciation for Morocco's one-China stance and its support for China on major international issues such as human rights. Ismail said China's development and increasing international influence would benefit world peace and stability and contribute to world prosperity and progress. He said the Party of Progress and Socialism of Morocco held that the relationship between the two parties was significant to bilateral friendship and would strengthen relations with the CPC.
