Japan sponsors Zambian media in covering elections
font size

The Japanese government gave 485,000 U.S. dollars to Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) Thursday to help it cover the forthcoming elections.

Zambia Information and Broadcasting Services Minister Vernon Mwaanga, who received the money, said the financial support would enable ZNBC to procure the much-needed critical tools to effectively cover the general elections.

The south African country is expected to hold a tripartite election late this year.
