Cheng Siwei, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC), met with a delegation from the Jean-Jaures Foundation of the French Socialist Party Thursday.

The delegation, led by the foundation's First Vice President Henri Nallet, is here at the invitation of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.

The delegation attended a seminar on China's development and the relationship between China and France and between China and the European Union on Wednesday.

During the visit from July 3 to 10, the delegation will also visit Guilin City in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
