Poland's unemployment rate in June fell to 16.0 percent from 16.5 percent in the previous month, according to the Polish Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.
The number of the unemployed in the country stood at 2,489,000 by the end of June 2006, 94,000 less than that in May, the PAP news agency reported on Friday, citing official figures.
Since the beginning of the year, the number of jobless people has dropped by 284,000.
