HK foreign exchange reserve ranks the eighth in world

The foreign exchange reserve of Hong Kong is 126.6 billion US dollars up to the end of June, which is 100 million US dollars more than the one at the end of May, according to the announcement by Hong Kong Monetary Authority on 7 July.

It also indicates that the foreign exchange reserve of Hong Kong ranks the eighth in the world and is over six times as much as Hong Kong currency in circulation.

It is reported that the seven largest forex reserve holders in the world are Chinese mainland, Japan, Chinese Taiwan, Russia, South Korea, India and Singapore.
