Leaders of China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Monday exchanged congratulatory messages on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between China and the DPRK.
Chinese President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Hu Jintao, top legislator Wu Bangguo and Premier Wen Jiabao, respectively exchanged congratulations with DPRK's top leader and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Worker's Party of Korea, Kim Jong Il, DPRK's top legislator Kim Yong Nam and Premier Pak Bong Ju, speaking highly of the development of the bilateral relations.
Leaders of the two sides agreed that to consolidate and develop the China-DPRK friendship has been the firm stand of the two governments and two parties.
The two countries will further increase exchanges, strengthen cooperation and push forward the bilateral friendly cooperative ties, the leaders said in their messages.
